The Monte and Lago is located 3 km from the village of Colomera on the historic Route of the Caliphate (GR 3420), leading from Cordoba to Granada. The property has direct access to the lake and is surrounded by olive groves, holm oak and pine forests and towering rock formations. Granada with its historical sights and the world-famous Alhambra without 25 km away.

The ski area of the Sierra Nevada is on the Costa del Sol without the Monte y Lago in jewels in approx. 45 min.

 

 

Climate
Andalusia is the sunniest region in Europe with 3000 hours of sunshine per year. The elevated position of Monte y Lago at the foot of the Sierra Nevada offers the advantage of a drier and therefore more pleasant climate than on the coast. The nights are cooler, even in summer, so you can usually sleep well without air conditioning. The rainy season falls in the months between November and February. Summers are hot, while temperatures in spring and autumn are mild.
